Barça Ready for Historic Game at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday
Barça revealed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league over two years since relocating so building work could begin.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees can be present based on approved permits. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. The club said finished work included an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.
Preparatory Events
Barça organized a public practice inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side in December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
